Common surgical procedures
A large part of soft tissue surgery consists of common but important operations that can make a significant difference to the animal's health and quality of life. This can involve planned procedures or surgeries needed to treat medical conditions that affect the animal's daily life and well-being.
We offer, among other things:
- neutering of dogs, cats, and rabbits
- cryptorchidism surgery
- surgery for uterine inflammation
- caesarean section
- surgery for mammary tumours
- surgery for skin tumours
- hernia surgeries
- anal sac surgeries
- tonsil surgeries
- entropion
- cherry eye
- bulb extirpation
- amputation
Advanced soft tissue surgery
In addition to the more common surgeries, we also offer more advanced soft tissue surgery. This is an important part of our practice and something that allows us to help patients with more complex surgical needs.
Among the more advanced procedures we perform are:
- intestinal resection
- gastrotomy
- enterotomy
- gastropexy for gastric torsion
- spleen extirpation
- vesicotomy for urinary stones
- surgery for salivary gland problems
- more extensive tumour surgery
- surgical treatment of more complex abdominal conditions
Tumour surgery and sampling
We also operate on various types of changes and tumours in the skin and soft tissues. When a change is assessed as suspicious, the tissue can be sent for analysis, which can provide important information about the type of change and whether further follow-up is needed.
Safe anaesthesia and careful monitoring
An important part of all surgery is anaesthesia. At Aniuma Vetcentrum, each anaesthetic is tailored to the patient's individual conditions. In the operating room, the surgeon works together with the anaesthetic nurse, creating good conditions for a safe and secure surgical environment.
